PFA is a scientific program generated by expert researchers and students in the marine sciences studying the Mexican reefs, especially in the Gulf of California and the islands of the Pacific. We concentrate our efforts researching the biodiversity, ecology and conservation of marine fish and invertebrate species.
Mission
Generate and spread scientific information to protect endangered species. Measure the effectiveness of the natural protected areas to detect the human influence in them. Always offering science based management and conservation actions to preserve marine species and their habitat.
Objectives
Build up the next scientific research generation able to apply abilities to conserve our oceans, making team work with national and international research institutions (CIBnor, CICIMAR, UNAM, CMBC-SCRIPPS, Texas A&M).

"We will never fully understand the variability of life in the oceans. But please dont´t fault us for trying" Edward Brinton (Scripps Institution Oceanography)
